Jaycee park on the North end has baseball field, Soccer field, padded walking track, padded/ partially covered playground, disc golf course, pickle ball and basketball court, and outside workout equipment. A covered pavilion and out door grilling areas.
Memorial Park in the middle of the island behind the Island Library which has a toddler time on tuesdays at 11am Has a padded playground- bike path that goes through it- basket ball and tennis courts, multiple covered pavilions and outdoor grilling areas.
Biking/walking path that runs along hwy 80 starting at Fort Pulaski. We love taking out bikes and seeing how far we can make it! the trail goes for 9 miles one way. There are also benches to stop and sit on as well as fun little bridges over small creeks and water ways.
** Back river Sunsets**
Even if you only go once- It’s worth it- *Inlet point*is a great location and a little less packed than -alley 3- Just walk to your right and you’ll see. But Alley 3 or Fisherman’s Walk are also amazing locations to see the sun set from.
Tybee Turtle Pond If you’re within walking distance- I highly suggest turtle pond. Turtles will come right up to the walkway to see you all! If you’re not within walking distance- You’ll drive straight down past the police station and see a bunch of town houses walk past the first left and then go all the way till the road turns left- Then walk straight to the end of that road till you see it turn left and look to your right - you’ll see a board walk that crosses a pond. ( it looks private but it’s public) And it walks you across “turtle pond” where you will see hundreds of turtles 😅 My children LOVE going.
Food Finds
Huc- a - Poos - Has amazing $8 appetizers and the best and biggest $20 pizza on the island! -super reasonable for families - We love the quesadilla for $8 add extras to it free of charge - but chicken and cheese is amazing by itself. $8 cheese sticks are also amazing! $5 house salad is enough for 2 especially if you order it to go! Or Order what we call the Pizza Sampler and get 4 amazing slices of different pizzas in one whole pie for $20.
Locals Poos Pizza Hack- Order 4 slices ( $5 slice - but it will come out as whole pie) and is the same price as a whole pizza - we frequently do this and tell our kids we are getting the pizza sampler! LOL 😂 It’s a great way to order 4 different types of pizza without ordering 4 whole pizzas.
Rachel Vogel Designs ( shops over across from huc a poos) - will make jewelry for you out of your sharks teeth that you find while on Tybee! @rachelvogeldesigns
Kelly Company - Locally made essential oils and fun other items another amazing little shop! I love all the shops at 1207 personally Sea side sisters is super cute too.
Monday night 4-7 Definitely go to the Farmers Market at the Light house- If you plan to see the lighthouse/ museum you might want to plan your light house visit for before the market- Be sure to give yourself a solid 2 hours to get all the way through( during summer) if it's busy it can take a while to go through the entire thing- so much cool history there!

- Mi Vida is my favorite breakfast spot on Tybee - Think Avocado Toasts, Açaí Bowls, Fresh Pressed Juices, and Amazing atmosphere @MiVidaTybeeIsland closed on Tuesdays They also have coffee!
- my family all also loves -The Breakfast Club ( go early so you don't have to wait in line- but don't worry it always moves fast! )
-Sunrise is always open for breakfast and has great breakfast food- it has an open bar on Friday and Saturday’s
- Sundae Cafe - Best food Hands Down on Tybee- But it is pricey! - Call to get a reservation. - Worth every single penny trust me. LOL

- The Deck is also really good as well.
Salt Island and beer has seafood and we highly recommend going there on Thursday night for their $1.50 oysters!
Bubba Gumbos is also very good and if you want to cook in check out BGs Seafood Market next to Bubba Gumbos for some really fresh seafood to cook at your rental.
- Agave ( classic american mexican) is our favorite - or Chamacos tacos which is more of a fresco mexican or street mexican place - but very good if you like that!
- In The RAW is the best sushi.
Late night snacking?
⁃ Quarters Bar has the BEST hamburgers, jalapeño poppers, and Onion rings
⁃ Nikkie’s Bar has an amazing Philly cheesesteak and Fried green pickles.
⁃ Sea Wolf is a wonderful little local spot with amazing little bits of food and the best Oysters on the half shell on the islands ( this isn’t a go for full dinner place at all) It’s light snacking charcuterie and specialty hotdogs etc.

⁃ Crab Creek Charters with Captian Seth Solomon - (912) 507-4832 will take you out on a lovely boat ride over to little tybee to find some sand dollars and learn some amazing history from a 5th generation Tybeian ( that’s what people who were born and raised here call themselves lol) Seth Solomon is a great Captian and knows so much local knowledge. Such a wonderful experience.
If you want to have a boat fossil hunting experience we recommend Sundial Charters. They have a captain and tour guide that will take you out and help you find bigger Mako or Megalodon sharks tooth. The smaller teeth from the river aren’t as pretty as our teeth here on Tybee but you might find a bigger tooth- so if the big ones are what you’re after defintely book with them.

The Surfing Goat 🐐 Has coffee!! - They are located under the Lighthouse Pizza sign. They are a bagel shop and they do have good bagels/ sandwiches - But if you’re from New York or Jersey- only go for the coffee- Just trust me on this. 😅 But anyone else - It is a good bagel. They also do have a gluten Free Bagel and it is really good!
